From March 22 to 27, 2018, the “Opening the Window to the Splendors of the World” International Jewellery Art Tour made its appearance at the pinnacle event of the jewellery world, equivalent to the "Oscars" - the Basel International Jewellery Exhibition. CHARLENE, carrying the high jewellery themed collection for the Imperial Palace, stood out with Oriental charm among the remarkable works of many legendary jewellery brands from around the world.
The design inspiration for the Fan Collections are comes from fans from the Imperial Palace. Combined with the aesthetic mood expressed in the poetry and painting on the fan, the design is based on the fan as a body, the meaning as a form, divided into two main themes: The Imperial Palace Phoenix themed jewellery.
CHARLENE, inspired by fans in the Imperial Palace's collection, created jewellery works that, rather than being bound by figurative Chinese symbols, innovatively and precisely condense the essence of Chinese cultural art.Adhering to the unique elegance of the East, CHARLENE gives Western gemstones a different temperament and beauty, demonstrating the strong vitality of traditional Chinese art.
During the Basel exhibition, Charlene had in-depth exchanges face-to-face with many international jewellery master’s on the selection of jewellery materials, craftsmanship, and the expression of national culture.
After the exhibition concluded, Charlene invited all gemstone experts and partners to a dinner, celebrating the great success of CHARLENE at the Basel Jewellery Exhibition.
